Would you believe the best part of this whole movie was the free popcorn I got as a reward from the use of my Regal Crown Card??? The truth is, that popcorn was really really good. A whole lot better than the 2 hour and 6 minute movie I went to see. I realize there are people are searching for what happens in the “afterlife” but they are overlooking the obvious as if they were blind. The only way to happiness is through a relationship with Jesus Christ and spending eternity with him. Doing psychic readings won’t get it. Nor will anything like it fill that void or answer the questions people are searching for. I suppose those in search of answers are blinded by the evils in this world. In my personal opinion, it’s sad. The attendance was okay with about 30-something people in attendance for a 1:00 matinee. I wouldn’t want to expose children to this kind of

Movie “REDS”
I knew I wanted to see this movie when I found out that Morgan Freeman and Bruce Willis were in it. I wasn’t so sure about John Malcovitch but after seeing him in Secretariat, I had a feeling I’d like him in Reds. This was a great movie with profanity at a bare minimum. There was a little here and there but it wasn’t through out the whole movie. I liked that part and it was one of those movies with action, drama, comedy and yes, some romance. The crowd was mixed with kids/teens/adults and was appropriate for most all ages except for young children. I just don’t think they’d understand. I’d definitely recommend anyone to see this movie and I give it a 4 out of 5 paws.
Movie “Secretariat”
This is one movie that I loved and would see over and over again. It was inspirational and full of determination in the midst of a lot of risk taking actions. It was one of the few movies with absolutely no profanity and I really liked that. Being a teenager when Secretariat ran the triple crown, I was curious as to how the back story played out and this movie gave me what I was looking for. I found myself wanting to jump up and begin cheering the horse and his jockey on like I was actually at the horse track. I was inspired to keep on keeping on no matter what I’m being told in the negative. Most of the audience were older adults, most likely retirees as well as those like me who were familiar with the horse. No kids in attendance so no child to adult ration. On a scale of 5 paws, I give it a
Movie “The Social Network”
This is one of those movies that I’m not sure how to react to. It was an interesting 2 hour movie that was good at keeping my attention and it was well acted but it struck me as really different. It’s not a bad different just “different.” I suppose it was something I least expected. I learned a lot about covering ones back side and how selfish and self consumed people be with regards to success. It reminded me that we live in a dog eat dog world and those who hesitate get eaten. It definitely wasn’t the kind of movie I’d want to take young children to. Maybe teens or pre-teens. More adults attended the showing I was at but I do like attending afternoon matinees. I give the movie a 3 out of 5 paws.
