I love to see a good movie and “Eat, Pray, Love” was one of them. “The Other Guys,” was done in true Will Ferrell style. I read the book “Eat, Pray, Love” and thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. Throughout my read, I came to understand and appreciate the journey Liz Gilbert took in finding herself. I could relate to it in many ways. The movie was a great representation of the movie but I always find it hard to enjoy a movie after reading the book it was based on because you miss so much of the back story due to the time constraint. I have to admit that I enjoyed the film version of “Eat, Pray, Love” much more than I did when I watched “Charlie St. Cloud.” I wish I could put into words why one was better than the other to me but I just can’t find the right combination. Hello World!
Welcome to little corner of the world. My hope is to begin blogging about movies that come out so that everyday people can read a review from someone that isn’t a critic. My plan is to give basics on the movie, the people in the theater and as best as possible, give their reaction along with ratios like, male to female, adult to child and how many were in the theater seeing the same film. I will probably add some of my views on a variety of topics, mostly of what’s going on that day or week. I look forward to getting things off the ground here and until another day and another time, may God’s blessings be yours in abundance! Charlene Fuller-Gossett Palm 91
Review of “Dogs and Cats: The Revenge of Kitty Galore”
Just got home from seeing the movie, “Revenge of Kitty Galore” with my sweetheart of a husband and I must say it was grand. The opening reminded me of a 007 James Bond movie. Roger Moore who played Bond during the 1970’s was the voice of the head of MEOW the feline secret agents. The felines and K9 agents worked together to bring down Kittie Galore in her world wide take over to have all dogs sent to kennels so cats could dominate the world. The gadgets were great that the animals used and it was an all around fun movie to see with the whole family. Basic good clean fun for all. Being that it was a Sunday afternoon matinee, the audience ration was off but there was an even number of kids to adults. It’s good clean family fun and well worth the trip to see it and splurge a little, see it in 3D. On a scale

Charlie St. Cloud
I recently went to see the movie “Charlie St. Cloud” and found it to be quite an interesting film. Having read the book prior to the movie opening on Friday (7/29) I wanted to see how the film was done in comparison to what was in the book. I keep forgetting that the movie, in many cases isn’t anywhere near as good as the book. The only time I have actually liked how a book was made into a movie was in the “Chronicles of Narnia” series. They’ve stayed true to the books from beginning to end. With “Charlie St. Cloud,” it seems the director took some creative liberties by changing the ages of Charlie and Sam and how they had their car accident, The backdrop of where Charlie and Sam played pitch at sunset and there were a couple of scenes added. I’m sure they were added to cohesion. Over all, the film stayed with the basic story line
