I have spent several days recently reminiscing about all that’s happened during 2015. I got hit early in the year with my father passing away, finally being able to have his wish come true. He spent the better part of four and a half years missing my mother. She passed away from cancer in 2010. This is the first Chrismas without both of them for me and it’s been a challenging year, mostly on an emotional level. Because of the emotional challenges I’ve had, it’s affected other areas of my life too. I’ve tried hard to not let the other areas of my life suffer too much. I am very grateful to an awesome staff at WDNG who’s been so very supportive of me as I work through many of the challenges that come with being an only child and the personal representative of my dad’s estate. There’s still a lot to do on that front but I am grateful to have the majority of the things related to it behind me.
As I look toward 2016, I feel hopeful. With all that 2015 has brought, I honestly can not complain. I have some of the most awesome friends that have been encouraging along with one of the most wonderful husbands a girl could ask for. I’ve been able to do some traveling with the National Association of Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas, the NAB Radio Show in Atlanta and the three Comic Con’s I’ve been able to attend this year. I’ve followed Tugg the Bull Terrier to those Comic Con’s to be supportive of him and his comic book series. I’m looking forward to seeing him again in March at another Comic Con.
I have great hopes and dreams for the new year, with all kinds of things I want to see accomplished through my work on Tugg’s Dog House Radio Show, WDNG and on a personal level. Life is precious and we need to make the most of what God has given to us. I have plans to do just that in the new year. I plan to set goals and definitely put them into action. I also plan to bring my friends into some of them too. I want to share the joy with them.
I want to encourage you as you’re reading this with the hopes you’ll make 2016 your very best year ever.
God Bless and may you celebrate the birth our Jesus to your best ability!
Charlene
